*ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE CURRENT USA WRESTLING CARD HOLDERS* On Wednesday, February 3rd from 6:00 – 7:15 PM (MST) USA Wrestling is offering a Webinar on “Tapering for Competition.” The Webinar will be presented by Cody Bickley, the Manager of the National Coaches Education Program for USA Wrestling, and Krista Austin, Exercise Physiologist and co-owner of Performance & Nutrition Coaching. The Webinar, Tapering for Competition, is for the athlete and coach who would like to learn more about preparing for the end of their season. Wrestling is a sport that requires athletes to taper for optimal performance as well as make weight for competition. This webinar will cover guidelines to help optimize the physical taper by volume and intensity of training while maintaining strength and power. It will also discuss how to best "taper" food intake through the energy density of food in order to make weight for competition.
